OVERVIEW
Most Americans remember where they were on September 11, 2001. But many might not recall that less than a year later, national and international headlines were dominated by three weeks of terror at the hands of the “Beltway Sniper”. Audible renewed interest in the case that led to the arrest of John Allen Muhammed and John Boyd Malvo with the original audiobook, Call Me God. I collaborated with the digital agency, We Are Royale, to create broacast and digital assets for the release.
CHALLENGE
Working with hours of footage from press conferences, news reports, investigator interviews, and the pre-release audiobook, I focused the complex and dense narrative into a our hero trailer, as well as a series of clear, impactful Digital Spots.

THE RESULT
Our work helped launch Call Me God on Audible’s social channels in October 2019, seventeen years after the killing spree made headlines. The hero spot garnered 118,000 views on Twitter during its first weekend and helped Call Me God debut at number 7 in the top 10 on Audible’s nonfiction chart with a 5-star rating.
