OVERVIEW

I helped my agency client shape creative marketing strategy and led copywriting for the global launch of one of 2022’s most anticipated video game titles, culminating a :45 World Premiere TVC starring the game’ protagonist, Josh Duhamel. 

THE CHALLENGE

Develop a comprehensive strategic framework around the “tenets of horror”: those fundamental elements of the genre that gamers and film audiences crave. Through workshops with Striking Distances executives, and research, I developed a detailed framework defining horror, to guide all creative marketing, as well the game developers shaping the actual gameplay.

The tenets established, I served as lead copywriter over more than a year, developing a wide range of TV spots, trailers, and scripting dialogue for the game itself. I also scripted this Live Action Spot, starring Josh Duhamel, which aired for first time during the 2023 Super Bowl.
